As of the second quarter of 2022, the cumulative global shipment of solar cell by Tongwei Solar have exceeded 100GW, featuring another significant milestone on the road to sustainable development of Tongwei. Tongwei Solar is the first manufacturer in the industry to complete 100GW of solar cell shipments.
100GW solar cells can produce around 138.7 billion kWh of clean energy every year, which meets the electricity demand of 82.15 million urban and rural households in 1 year. It also means reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 138 million tons or reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by 4.16 million tons. In addition to this, the 100GW cells can probably save standard coal 55.48 million tons, which is equivalent to about 755,600 hectares of broad-leaved forest.
Tapping into PV and Building Future for Nine Years
